Public sector union UNE sends solidarity message to UK unions after election result

Recognising what the Tory election victory will mean in terms of deepening attacks on the living standards of UK workers, and having suffered 17 years of neo-liberal government in Nicaragua from 1990-2007, the public sector trade union UNE has sent a solidarity message to UK trade unions. Their message reads as follows:-

‘The victory of the right wing in the UK’s elections is of great concern and will lead to a strengthening of capitalist and neoliberal policies in your country. In light of this, trade unions must redefine their future strategy in order to be able to fight back against the continuing deterioration of living standards for workers in the UK.
