To all our friends and supporters, we send you our very best wishes for 2017 and our thanks for your solidarity during 2016. As we enter the New Year, your solidarity and support continue to be vital. Since the November elections in Nicaragua, the Western media campaign of disinformation about Nicaragua has continued apace, supported by Nicaragua's right wing opposition and their US allies. It's going to be more important than ever during the coming year for us to ensure that the social and economic reforms and progressive policies designed to eliminate poverty and ensure a fair and just society for all are not threatened and undermined by right wing opponents of the Sandinista National Liberation Front, FSLN.
