Nicaragua's trade unions and social movements issue joint statement

NSCAG News | on: Monday, 21 June 2021

Nicaragua's trade union movement, together with the Coordinadora Social, has issued a statement in support of the Nicaraguan government and condemning US intervention in the country.

The statement is signed by Nicaragua's largest trade union confederation, the National Workers Front (FNT), representing some 750,000 workers in the country and the Nicaraguan Trade Union Unity Movement (MUSIN) which brings together a number of smaller trade union confederations - CTN, CNT, CUS and CUT and CONSALUD - which are part of the joint collective bargaining table alongside the FNT.

The Coordinadora Social is an umbrella body which brings together various social, labour and popular movements in the country.
