Herman van de Velde, a Belgian national who has worked in and from Nicaragua for 38 years has penned a letter to the international community
"Nicaragua wants peace and to live in peace. Nicaragua is a free and sovereign country and, without a doubt, it will continue to fight, just as it is doing, to deepen its independence, promoting higher quality of life for everyone"
