Public approval rating for President Ortega and the FSLN remains high

A recent poll conducted by M & R consultores shows that President Ortega has an approval rating of 77.3%. 70.2% of those surveyed believe that the country is heading in the right direction and 77.6% said that the Government works for the benefit of the entire population. 72.6% said that the FSLN Government generates hope, while 79.3% said that Nicaragua has made progress in recent years. The study also revealed that 85.3% of Nicaraguans see the Government in a positive light and 81.8% are satisfied with public services, highlighting public education (88.8%), roads (88.1%), health (86.8%), transport (86.1%) and electricity (86.1%). 72.6% said that President Ortega is a democratically elected head of state that follows the laws of the country; 85.1% believe the government has the capacity to solve the problems facing the country and 84.5% said the government is trusted by the people.
