Nicaraguans take to the streets in support and celebration of Government decision

In a positive step aimed at contributing to social peace, stability and national reconciliation, the Nicaraguan government decided on 9 February to release 222 individuals who were guilty of serious crimes. They actively participated in the US-funded 2018 violent coup attempt to oust the democratically elected government.

Unfortunately, the government's action has been completely distorted by corporate media, and the US continues to take aim at the country through a mix of illegal sanctions and threats. NSCAG has now put together a statement on the release in order to set out the facts and set the record straight. The statement can be found here.
